Colocolo Football Club is the largest and most popular football club in Chile Founded in 1925, it was initially composed of 11 players who separated from Magellan Athletic Club. In 2005, the club was transformed into a joint-stock company and listed on the San Diego Stock Exchange.

Domestic league: 29 times won the Chilean Football Primera Division championship, including in 1937, 1939, 1941, 1944, 1947, 1953, 1956, 1960, 1963, 1970, 1972, 1979, 1981, 1983, 1986, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1993, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2002, 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009.
Domestic Cup: Won the Chilean Football Association Cup championship 13 times, in 1933, 1938, 1940, 1945, 1958, 1974, 1981, 1982, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1994, and 1996.
International competitions: In 1991, they won the Copa Libertadores in South America, making them the only Chilean team to achieve this honor to date. They also won the Copa America in the same year.
